The Face of Fall – Best Makeup Tips For The Season

Beauty Secrets and TipsAs summer begins to rapidly fade into fall we start to change over our wardrobe into long sleeve tee’s, comfy sweaters, and our favorite pair of knee high boots. Switching over to our fall wardrobe is somewhat of a given, as the weather can make wearing summer fashions very uncomfortable. But, what we might neglect is going through our make-up bag and setting aside our sunny summer shimmers (say that five times fast!).

We asked our experts for their beauty secrets and tips and will feature their answers every Thursday in our weekly segment, Makeup Tips For Every Season. Miss Photogenic WA USA 2011, Elise Hamamoto, has given us this fabulous fall makeup tip:

The Face of Fall: Copper Smoky Eyes, Bronzed Cheeks and Neutral Lips

Shadow:  Start by applying a beige shadow from the lash line to the crease of the eyelid. Contour from the outer to the middle of the eyelids with a copper shadow drawn in a side-ways “v” shape. Using a small, flat eyeshadow brush, start the bottom of the “v” at the outer corner of each eye and extend the top of the “v” slightly above the crease. Blend the darker shadow where it meets the lighter shadow.

Mascara:  Finish your eyes by curling lashes (if preferred). Apply one to two coats of a lengthening mascara. For an even bolder lash effect, apply one coat of a lengthening mascara and choose a thickening formula for the second coat.

Bronzer:  Extend your summer glow into Fall by sweeping a bronzing powder over the highest part of your cheekbones and lightly over the other parts of your face where the sun naturally hits: over the bridge of your nose, forehead and chin.

Gloss:  Slick on a nude or pale pink gloss for a pretty, natural lip look that complements your glowing skin and balances out your copper smoky eye effect.
