Smooth and Beautiful Hands Using Jojoba Oil

most beautiful handsKeeping your hands healthy and youthful can be as simple as applying the right moisturizer to your skin.  There are many moisturizers on the market that claim to heal cracked, dry skin and end up worsening your symptoms.  Consuming enough water is the first step towards warding off dry skin.  Another useful tip is adding oils to your daily regimen.

Learn how oils treat your dry skin for natural results that will keep your hands looking and feeling smooth as silk.

Two Thumbs Up for a Winning Hand Treatment

When I was a teenager and in my early twenties, I never needed to use hand lotion, as my body was naturally producing enough oils to keep my skin moisturized. Now that I’m an adult, I have to regularly moisturize my hands, or they start to look dry and aged (not a pretty look!).

A lot of the popular lotions on the market claim to be ultra-lubricating or offer intensive moisturizing agents. But, my experience has been that this is all marketing magic – they hook you in with false (or embellished) claims, and don’t give you the miraculous results you really want. Going back to my initial belief that natural is best, especially when it comes to the products we put on our skin (which absorbs everything into our blood stream… yikes!).

A natural moisturizer I love is Jojoba Oil (pronounced: Ho-Ho-Bah). Jojoba oil is frequently used by massage therapists as a ‘carrier oil’, which means they it penetrates the skin’s top layer faster, and helps carry other oils into the system quickly. In addition to its moisturizing ability, it helps unclog hair follicles and pores (so it can also be used on your face and other body parts), and removes make-up and debris. In addition to using it as a hand treatment, I use it to remove my eye make-up (it’s the best solution I’ve ever found!), and hair treatment. I give two thumbs up to this winning hand treatment!

Jojoba oil is really great for treating acne. It sort of unclogs the pores by dissolving hardened sebum. *`”*’
