Get Back To The Basics Naturally

Eat Healthy (berries)As technology continues to save us time and to make our lives easier (faster, may be a better word these days) it is not necessarily what is best for our overall being. We can be kind to our bodies and skin by watching carefully the types of products we are putting in and on us.

Here are three great healthy eating tips that take us back to the basics – for a more natural and healthy you.

Unburden Your Body

Your skin is a semi-permeable membrane. To be graphic about it, that means it’s like a big tongue soaking up anything you put on it. This includes chemical-laden lotions, soaps, cosmetics, and hand sanitizers. Whatever you put on your skin is immediately absorbed into your bloodstream where any chemical ingredients are toxins that have to be removed by your liver and other filtering organs. This burdens your body and affects your overall functioning.

The solution is to go green by using¬†organic health and beauty¬†products. Get in the habit of reading labels and only use products with recognizable ingredients. (Hint: If you can’t pronounce it, it’s probably not good for you.) The bottom line is, if you wouldn’t eat it, don’t put it on your skin.

Eat Vitalized Food and Lose Weight

It’s hard to be energized when you’re eating dead food. Chemicalizing, preserving, processing and microwaving all serve to kill food. Dead food can steal your energy and cause you to keep eating more in order to feel satisfied.

The secret is to pay attention to the energy-content of the food you eat. Food that is living derives from the earth and not from a processing plant. Things like fresh fruits and vegetables are teeming with life force. Your hunger light will shut-off much faster when you nourish your body with vitalized food because that’s what your body really wants–vitality!

Beware the Cell (Phone)

Evidence is mounting that electromagnetic radiation from cell phones and other wireless devices is harmful to health. Why be a human guinea pig? Play it safe by following a few simple guidelines:

  • Limit calls to 5 minutes.
  • Keep the cell phone off of your body. Use speaker mode or text instead of talking.
  • Keep your cell phone away from children.
  • Purchase a hollow-tube headset.
  • Use a landline with a cord as your primary phone and forward your cell to the landline.
