Even the Texture and Color of Your Skin

I am a board certified NYC dermatologist with 25 years experience. My best anti-aging tips:

  • Use a broad spectrum SPF of 30 to prevent more aging changes.
  • Use OTC retinols or prescription retinoids at night. Growth factors are also very effective in improving fine lines. Anti-oxidants in topical preparations can improve the skin as well.
  • Thermage CPT skin tightening and Fraxel laser improve the lines and even texture and color.
  • Genesis laser rid the skin of redness.

Diminish Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Great anti-aging skin care plus procedures would be my recommendation to diminish fine lines and wrinkles. I’d recommend AHA glycolic acid skin care products.

The best and most effective treatments right now are the ablative laser treatments and my preference is the erbium laser because there is less chance of post procedure skin redness. A person can do the ‘classic’ big laser treatment with a week or more of downtime, but technological advances now make it possible to do a series of much less harsh treatments with little or now down time. These create controlled injury to the skin and thus stimulate the healing response that includes collagen formation. It’s this collagen formation that creates meaningful and lasting results. I use the Sciton Erbium laser and the Microlaser Peel or Profractional applications.

Filler injections like Juvederm are also an immediate gratification procedure for the perioral area including those vertical lines around the mouth.

Commercial Glycolic acid aka AHAs is the by-product of manufacture of ETHYLENE GLYCOL through reaction of Formaldehyde, a carcinogen & Carbon Monoxide, a poison!
