Try 4 Steps to Achieve Smooth, Even-Toned Skin

August 2006

Step 1 – Exfoliation

Exfoliation achieves two things:  First, it peels off discolored skin cells that have built up, layer upon layer, into dark spots.  Second, it removes flakes that cast “microshadows” on the skin’s surface.

Step 2 – Use Antioxidants

Try time-honored antioxidant vitamin C.  The best C’s tend to be pricey, but it’s worth it to get more potent, stable ingredients.

Step 3 – Use Skin Lighteners

If you’re still left with brown spots, bring out the big guns, “Most skin lighteners don’t actually bleach skin but they will halt the formation of new pigment”.

Step 4 – Wear Sunscreen

Prevent further UV-induced skin damage – dark spots in particular.
