Natural Prescriptions for Wrinkle Prevention
As we age, we all think about how to avoid or reduce wrinkles. Cosmetic surgery is very expensive and many people do not want to deal with the after-affects. If you are one of those people, here are some natural ways to prevent wrinkles.
- Drink 8 glasses of water every day. One of the primary functions of the skin is to excrete toxins and toxins can cause blemishes, rashes, dryness, and dullness. The best way to prevent toxins from reaching your skin is to drink 8 glasses of water daily. This will also hydrate your skin to prevent dryness.
- Always use a Sunscreen. A moderate protected sunning does help with vitamin D production and has been known to help alleviate depression; however, the old days of basking in the sun for hours without any sunscreen is just asking for trouble from the viewpoint of wrinkles, not to mention skin cancer. One thing people tend to forget is to use their sunscreen (SPF 15 or higher) when they spend any amount of time in the sun, not just while at the beach. Apply ½ hour before going into the sun, then reapply as necessary (especially after swimming or sweating heavily).
- Stop Smoking. Smoking definitely ages your skin prematurely. The act of inhaling and exhaling causes wrinkles to form around your lips; constantly having smoke around your face dries it out; and inhaling nicotine into your system constricts blood vessels, thus, interfering with the flow of nutrients to the cells.
- Use a Moisturizer. A good moisturizer will keep your skin soft and supple, thereby, preventing the formation of wrinkles.
- Vitamin Supplements. You should take 1,000 mg. of vitamin C and 10,000 I.U. of vitamin A daily to keep your skin healthy and prevent against wrinkling.
Natural Progesterone Cream
Natural progesterone cream is a natural product derived from plants and is used to produce synthetic estrogen, cortisones, and other similar hormones. It is similar in structure to the hormones produced by the body and is often used by pre- and post-menopausal women.
Natural progesterone cream should be used when the body stops producing enough progesterone to keep your estrogen in check. A lack of estrogen can lead to the following problems – breast cancer, breast cysts, endometrial cancer, etc. Natural progesterone cream will normalize oxygen levels in the body, help to prevent blood clots, maintain sugar levels in the blood, control hot flashes and is used topically.
You can find an excellent natural balancing cream at www.ihd.myarbonne.com. They supply two different types – one for women going through menopause and one for men and teenagers to help control acne and balance their system.
What Type of Makeup Is Best For You
Listed here are different types of makeup and what their use is so you can determine what type is best for you.
Liquid Foundation – Creates sheer to medium coverage. It can be applied with a sponge or fingers (if applied with your fingers, the warmth will help it blend better). Use sparingly as too much will look like a mask.
Stick Foundation – Offers more coverage and is faster to blend than liquid. Use fingers to blend (a sponge will make it streaky). Good for small blemishes or eye circles when you don’t want to use a concealer.
Cream-to-Powder Foundation – If you like the matte look, this is for you. Apply with a damp sponge to create a dewy, matte finish that gives you full coverage.
Loose Powder – Use this to set your foundation – brush lightly over the face with a big fluffy brush. Translucent is the best shade to choose, however, if you have warm skin choose a yellow-base rather than pink.
Pressed Powder – To create total coverage, apply over your foundation. Apply with a powder sponge in a rolling motion.
Bronzing Powder – If you brush lightly, it will create a golden glow. However, apply only where the sun naturally hits your skin (the cheekbones, chin, and tip of nose).
