Do Scalp Treatments Really Work?
Absolutely! A good scalp massage can:
- Relieve tension
- Unclog the hair follicles (thereby releasing natural conditioning oils)
- Stimulate blood flow (so nutrients can better reach the scalp and nourish your hair)
You can give yourself a home scalp massage:
- Start with a shampoo and/or conditioner rich in clay (this acts as a sponge, absorbing grime) and tea tree oil and rosemary (which help with itching).
- Use a fine-tooth comb or brush with flexible rubber bristles to loosen buildup, then wash hair clean.
- Slowly massage a clay-based masque into your scalp
- Slip on a plastic shower cap to help ingredients penetrate. Rinse after 15 minutes.
The result will be fresher, glossier looking hair!
