It’s never too early to check out what looks are coming down the makeup trend pipeline. This fall, watch for warm, lush earthy tones…plums, deep olive greens, and especially gold and bronze. The metallic look we’ve been seeing will be anchored this fall in softer, warmer, lightly shimmering tones. Think Kate Hudson and Katherine Heigl. Nails won’t be left out of the gold and copper trends, but don’t be afraid to go for something high contrast.
Smoky eyes continue to be popular. Just remember that if you want to go for a dramatic eye, keep your lips neutral, and vice versa. Eyes should be done richly and dramatically, but with less harsh lines of the liquid eyeliner. Remember to keep the line softened by either using a crème eyeliner or layer your liquid eyeliner over a line of deep shadow. Cat-eyes will be modified to be less extreme and drawn and more of an emphasis on the drama. Eyebrows continue leaning to a more natural yet refined look.
Deep purples are going to very popular for the fall in both makeup and clothing. Truly dark purple will be seen frequently on nails. Look to the celebrities who can already be seen bringing in the style trends for the fall. It’s coming up faster than you think!
